Weyerhof

Our little hotel is situated in the heart of the Hohe Tauern national park in Salzburg.  With a unique view of the Habach glacier, the Weyerhof is located at the entrance of Europe’s only natural emerald deposits, the Habachtal.  Surrounded by intact nature and mountains reaching higher than 3000 meters, the Weyerhof is a perfect place to relax and recharge yourself.  

If our hotel could speak, it would tell a long story about the traditions of the last several centuries.  Since 1664 our family has been spoiling guests with local cuisine.  Still today we continue this tradition with the addition of international cuisine.  

The Meilinger family ownes the weyerhof already since 1832. We produce spruce and elderflower syrup, smoke our own bacon, and bake our own bread, cakes, and sweets on the premises. We use fresh herbs from our garden, milk from a neighboring farmer, and get our meats from either high quality sources in the Pinzgau or venison from our own hunting grounds.  Of course you will need some wine to accompany these fine dishes.  You will be amazed by how many excellent bottles of wine a small country like Austria has to offer.

The Weyerhof is an ideal location for events and festivities of all kinds, like weddings or lager birthday parties. We have 5 separate dining rooms downstairs, each with room to seat about 20- 30. Upstairs, the arched ceilings of the first floor hallway create a beautiful environment for special occasions, like a civil marriage - still in a beautiful surrounding.    Since summer 2017 our careful hotelrenovation is fullfilled and we are proud, to host our guests in our 15 indiviual rooms and suites and spoil them in best tradition in our cosy eating "halls" - our "stuben". Currently under construction and NEW in summer 2023: Slightly elevated in a panoramic position, the new natural pool offers fantastic views and a refreshing cool down.
