The historic farmhouse (since 1950) of family Gruber offers a quiet location amidst the recreational area of Bad Hofgastein - family friendly, with great opportunities for exploring farm life and nature. The active farm with fifteen hectares of fields and forests, cows, pigs, sheep and a dog invites to experience the work, life and nature of a traditional farm. The central location of the farmhouse offers direct access to public transport into the neighbouring villages, surrounding ski-areas and the Alpentherme Gastein. Accommodation
The folksy interior is dedicated to the tradition-rich generations of farmers, built and decorated with genuine solid wood interior, but with a comfortably modern flair. Showers, toilets, SAT-TV and WLAN standard amenities for all our accommodations. In the morning we are delighted to serve you an opulent home-made farmers breakfast. Furthermore you are invited to try, taste and experience all traditional products from our farm and life stock.  Summer
In the summer Kerscherhof is the perfect base-camp for alpine explorations. For example to our very own Wiedneralm -  take the Poesieweg (tranquil walking hike with energetic power-places). Alternatively the mountains of Gastein can even in summer be conquered via the local cable car services (Gasteiner Berbahnen).  Winter
During the snowy winter months, the region of Gastein offers countless possibilities for all sorts of snow-sports in the surrounding ski-areas. Romantic snow hikes from our very doorstep will also let you take in the breathtaking mountain panorama. As a welcome balance for active winter-sport days, the Alpentherme Gastein offers a variety of wellness and spa options to recharge and replenish your batteries.
